Jane Smart

Jane has 22 years experience working as a speech pathologist with children and their families. Jane founded Smart Talking Speech Pathology in 2015.

 

Jane has worked in both private and public services, including community health, mainstream and specialist school settings, home based services and early intervention settings.

​

She works with pre-school and primary school aged children. She has a particular love and clinical interest working with children experiencing social communication and interaction challenges. She see’s children in individual, paired or small group settings. She also works with children who are experiencing difficulties understanding language (receptive language), using language (expressive language) and with speech sound disorders.

Jane is a certified practisting member of Speech Pathology Australia. She is trained in Social Thinking®, PECS, Makaton, BLADES, play and literacy development. She strives to provide caring, inclusive and neuroaffirming approaches with all children and families.
