Joanne Gerontzos

Joanne graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from La Trobe University in 2025 and completed her honours project in collaboration with Monash Children’s Hospital, Developmental Paediatrics Clinic.

 

Joanne has experience working with children of various ages across a range of settings, including within private practice, schools, and kindergartens. She can provide assessment and intervention across a variety of areas inclu,ding:

• Speech (articulation)

• Language (expressive and receptive)

• Literacy (reading and spelling)

• Social Communication

 

Joanne has a particular interest in family centred care and working with school aged children. She is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive and achieve their communication goals.

 

Since joining the Smart Talking Team Joanne has demonstrated a strong commitment to client-centred care and collaborative practice through working closely with families, teachers, schools and allied health professionals to maintain a multidisciplinary approach. 

 

Joanne is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia.
